Manganese ore supply from Africa & Middle East drops 29% in January

Manganese ore production in the Africa and Middle East region dropped 29% year-on-year in January following widespread production cuts in South Africa, according to figures from the International Manganese Institute (IMnI).

Supply for the region came in at 1.12 million tonnes, also representing a 5% drop year-on-year. Demand for the region fell 42% to 136,000 tonnes.
