Higher-grade seaborne manganese ore gains further; portside weakens

The index for higher-grade manganese ore continued to surge during the week to Friday February 10 due to the force majeure in Gabon, with the reduced supply expected to continue for the short term, sources told Fastmarkets.

During the week, offers were made for material from Gabon for the first time since a force majeure was declared following a landslide on December 24.
