China’s finished steel export rises 49% year on year in January, February

China exported 12.19 million tonnes of finished steel in the first two months of 2023, 49% higher than the same period last year, according to Chinese customs data released on Tuesday March 7.

Market participants attributed the increase to the end of Covid-19 logistics restrictions as well as the very low exports in January and February 2022.
