Flat steel import prices to UAE broadly stable, demand weak before Ramadan

Import prices on flat steel products brought into the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were mostly stable during the week ending Tuesday March 7, with demand weak ahead of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, sources have told Fastmarkets.

Ramadan, whose timing depends on the Moon, was expected to start during the last week of March. Working hours will be reduced in both countries, sources said.
