FeCr prices edge lower in China on depressed stainless market

Ferro-chrome prices in China declined in the week to Tuesday March 21 in both the domestic and the import market, with market participants attributing the move to a lack of buying activity among stainless steel mills.

The Chinese stainless steel market has witnessed declining prices in recent days, with reports that the downward move could be forcing private stainless mills to cut production, sources told Fastmarkets.
