China set for structural shift in magnesium supply with Fugu looking to axe small furnaces

China’s largest magnesium production hub, Fugu in Shaanxi province, will experience structural changes in the supply of magnesium and ferro-silicon in its move to eliminate semi-coke furnaces with capacity below 75,000 tonnes per year.
