Uncertainty in steel scrap markets amid Turkey return, weak sentiment in Asia

Turkish steelmakers bought deep-sea ferrous scrap cargoes in the week to Friday June 2 at slightly higher prices, due to limited offers, but uncertainty still persisted in Turkey after the conclusion of the country’s presidential election.

Meanwhile, scrap trading in major Asian markets was largely muted over the week because of bearish sentiment in the finished steel market.
