Supply tightness and a pick-up in demand from the US have been pushing up cobalt alloy grade prices, while a recovery in the chemicals market has led to a positive change in sentiment and an increase in standard-grade prices, sources told Fastmarkets on Thursday June 8.
Fastmarkets' daily price assessment for
cobalt alloy grade, in-whs Rotterdam was $14.90-16.10 per lb on Thursday, up from $14.50-15.75 per lb on Wednesday.
