China’s coking coal imports up nearly 75% in H1; Mongolia remains largest supplier

China imported 45.22 million tonnes of coking coal in the first half of 2023, up by 73.67% year on year, the latest customs data from the country showed.

In June alone, the country imported 7.75 million tonnes of the steelmaking raw material, up by 15.18% from May, and 55.44% higher year on year.
