US pig iron import prices down on lower offers, deals

Pig iron import prices in the United States fell in the week to Friday July 28, amid lower offers from Ukraine and a surprising deal from northern Brazil, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' price assessment for pig iron, import, cfr Gulf of Mexico, US, was $430-455 per tonne on Friday, down from $455-460 per tonne on July 21.
