Singapore rebar prices edge down amid sparse trading
Import prices for rebar in Singapore edged down in the week to Monday August 21 due to sparse trading in the spot market while buyers stayed on the sidelines amid slow demand and cautious sentiment.
Sources said the wariness among market participants was brought about by seasonally weak demand in China as well as the lack of clarity in the direction of Chinese steel prices.
