Chinese tungsten prices fall on weak downstream demand

China's tungsten concentrates price fell slightly due to sustained sluggishness in downstream tungsten powder demand despite the summer lull in Europe coming to an end in the second half of August, sources told Fastmarkets on Thursday August 31.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for tungsten concentrate 65% WO3, in-whs China was 120,500-122,000 yuan ($16,566-16,772) per tonne on Wednesday August 30, narrowing downward from 120,500-122,500 yuan per tonne a week earlier.
