China to phase out small coke ovens by 2023 - implications for coke, coal markets

China’s top four coke producing hubs have been phasing out coke ovens smaller than 4.3 meters in height and plan to completely phase them out by the end of 2023 in accordance with the country’s push for optimization and decarbonization of the coke industry, sources told Fastmarkets on Tuesday September 5.
