Chinese NPI prices down after six weeks of gains

A weak stainless steel market pressured China's nickel pig iron (NPI) prices downward in the week to Friday September 1, snapping a six-week streak of increases, sources told Fastmarkets.

Liquidity thinned and the market was largely in a standstill amid a widening bid-ask range, sources added.
