Vale, H2 Green Steel to study development of industrial hubs in Brazil, North America
Brazilian miner Vale and Swedish steelmaker H2 Green Steel have signed an agreement to jointly study the possibility of developing industrial hubs in Brazil and North America, the companies announced in a joint release on Wednesday September 6.
The companies will explore producing low-carbon steel value chain products, such as hydrogen and hot-briquetted iron (HBI), using iron ore briquettes produced by Vale as input and renewable electricity sources.
