Cobalt producers switch from sulfate to metal production, alleviating tightness in metal supplies

A number of major Chinese cobalt producers have modified production lines to increase cobalt metal production over sulfate to maximize profits and mitigate the impact of cobalt sulfate weakness, market sources have told Fastmarkets.
