Deacero to build 1.2 million tpy steel mill in northeastern Mexico

Mexican long steel producer Grupo Deacero will invest $1 billion to build a steel mill with capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per year in Ramos Arizpe city, in the country’s northeastern Coahuila state.

Construction is expected to last for the next three years, and the investment will be used to acquire equipment. The plant is expected to employ 1,000 people directly.
