Iron prices slump on concerns over likelihood of seasonal uptick in demand for steel

Seaborne iron ore prices fell on Thursday September 21, in line with futures and swaps prices, with an increase in hot-rolled coil inventories and a drop in apparent demand in China raising concerns over the usual peak-season pick-up in steel demand, sources told Fastmarkets.
