Brazilian import duty on most flat steel products increased to 10.8%, MDIC says
A decision taken this week by the Brazilian ministry of development, industry and foreign trade, MDIC, will see main flat-rolled steel products subject to 10.8% import duties in the country, from 9.6% currently, starting on October 1.
The decision published by the ministry on Tuesday September 19
removed a 10% tax reduction to 12 steel products.
